Alan Watson

 

 

     Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Alan has choreographed multiple groups in the Midwest ranging from Hip-Hop to Musical Theater.  Alan has been dancing since he was 13, when he started popping, waving and gliding.  In 2005, he began working professionally as a choreographer with award-winning performance groups in the Midwest.  He has worked under choreographers such as Michael Weaver, Pavan Thimmaiah, Tina Vasquez, Tara Tober, and participated in the Masterclass Camp at Valparaiso University in the summer of 2005.
     Now in New York he is enrolled at New York University, participates in many dance groups, such as Dancer’s Choreographer’s Alliance, IFA Dance Team, and many more.  Being one of the captains and choreographers of IFA Dance Team, Alan along with his fellow captains have helped the group has consistently placed in dance competitions around the Tri-State Area. 

                Alan joined up with Pavan in Fall 2005 and has since performed in the PMT Seasonal Showcases.  He is a member of PMT Dance Company and has performed in various venues with the company, including the CNE in Toronto, Canada, the International Dance Festival in New York City, and the company’s own show “Struck” in 2008.  He was recently featured in recording artist's RAIN's music video.  He has taught Hip Hop at NYU, PMT Dance Studio, New York Public Schools, and Legacy Dance studio in Minnesota.
