Heather began her dance studies in England, her native country, focusing on Ballet, Tap and Modern dance. At the age of 17, she became the Assistant Teacher of the Head of the School, where she worked with children's classes. Soon after, Heather successfully completed her A-levels. In 2003, she attained a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Dance Studies at the Roehampton University Institute in London. Since moving to New York in 2004, Heather pursued her dance studies at Peridance Center, training with Jim May, Nina Buisson, Saba, Matthew Neff, among others. Heather has worked as Rehearsal Director/Assistant and dancer for Saba Dance Theater and Nina Buisson Contemporary Move, and also performed as a dancer in said Companies as well as performing for Alexx And Ann Make Dances, Deborah Black, and more. Her practice has expanded whilst living in NYC to Art forms such as Aerial Dance where she trained at the New York Circus Academy. She is very pleased to be a part of PMT Dance Studio, where she has been teaching a weekly Contemporary Dance class since 2006. Separately, Heather choreographs dance works on an ongoing basis, under the name "CONVULSE". She has presented her choreography and performed in London, and various venues and festivals in New York City, including the PMT Seasonal Showcase.
