Jessica Chen

 

 

     JESSICA CHEN is a New York based dancer and choreographer.  J. Chen moved to NYC to study at the Alvin Ailey School.  There she met and trained with Mr. Earl Moseley and more opportunities opened.  At the Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts she worked with choreographers such as Sharon Wong, Juan Rodriguez of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Julian Barnett, Camille A. Brown and Darcy Naganuma.  The J. Chen Project presents her own work performing in venues such as Dumbo Dance Festival (NY), Jennifer Muller HATCH series (NY), Lobero Theatre (CA), Solar Powered Dance Series (NY), and PMT Dance Series (NY). As a commercial dancer J. Chen has toured internationally with hip-hop artist and judge of America’s Best Dance Crew Lil Mama.

 

     CHIEN-HAO CHANG came from Taiwan. He graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance in 2009. He was on full scholarship to attend the American Dance Festival in North Carolina. He began his dance training at age sixteen and was trained in Ballet and various modern dance techniques, including Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Merce Cunningham, Trisha Brown and contact improvisations. He also was trained in Chinese martial art and dance. This is his first season with the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company.

 

    Jessica Chen is currently in East Asia touring and teaching classes.
